Why Youdh

What is oud?

Oud perfume oil is fragrance built directly on agarwood oud and worn undiluted on the skin, rather than sprayed from an alcohol base. It is the traditional way oud has been worn for centuries, and the format changes almost everything that matters about how a fragrance performs. An alcohol spray evaporates within hours and takes the top notes with it. Oud perfume oil has nowhere to evaporate to, so it sits in the skin's warmth and releases slowly, staying kinder to skin that reacts badly to alcohol along the way. Below is our full range of oud perfume oils: two signature profiles, a sample kit for trying both, and bundles for stocking up.

How to apply oil correctly

01

Wrists, the side of the neck, behind the ears and the inner elbow all carry warmth to the surface and help the oil develop. Why we skip the alcohol →

02

03

Press gently rather than rubbing. Rubbing generates friction heat that can break down the top notes before they’ve had a chance to develop. How oud oil is made →

04

Reapply only if needed, usually not before the 8-hour mark. A second drop on a different pulse point extends wear without overwhelming the first.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

What people say after ~30 Days.

We follow up with every customer... here's some of what comes back:

“Youdh has really changed my perspective on perfume oils actually being 100% natural. This has been the only pure oil that doesn’t smell like a farm and actually lasts without any issues. I recommend this to my family and friends, and if they don’t buy it, I just gift it.”

Funny Face
“I’ve tried many perfumes which irritate my skin and affect my asthma. I’m now an avid Youdh consumer. My preferred scent is Light during the cold days and Night during the warm days… I love the recently adjusted Youdh Light, the scent lasts much longer. 100% recommend…”

Beau B
“Of the two fragrances I tried, I preferred ‘Light’. This fragrance was less powerful and fresher than ‘Night’. Looking forward to trying other fragrances from this company in the future.”

Gary Scholes
“Test Kit: Beautiful fragrance, well packaged. Arrived in good time. Yet to try the incense. I will be purchasing a full size once I make my mind up! 😁☺️”

Lisa Francis
“It was an easy site to navigate and order from. I bought the 3ml bottles as a trial. I like the light scent, not sure about the night scent yet. So far they don’t irritate my smell senses, as past scents give me allergy type symptoms.”

Gillian
“Youdh is a beautiful company. Their integrity shines through every aspect of their work: website, packaging and delivery, and the beautiful samples they sent me. The product is pure and smells delicious and authentic, uncontaminated by chemicals.”

Ms KF
“Finally, a company that delivers genuine, natural Oud. It’s easy to see why they call this ‘Black Gold.’ The fragrance is rich, complex, and incredibly long-lasting. You can tell it’s made with the finest ingredients. Easily my favorite perfume house. 5 stars all the way!”

Israfil Rahman
“I bought the tester package as I wasn’t sure if I would like the two perfumes, I’m glad I did! I love the Light perfume oil, it is certainly something I could wear every day. I will definitely purchase from Youdh again, I have been impressed with their customer service.”

Madasa Hatta
“Finally found a fragrance that doesn’t give me rhinitis. Both work well. The sample bottles are great sizes for travel abroad and last an incredible amount of time. I look forward to more fragrances released by yourselves and would be happy to continue to support.”

Usman
“I have been using Youdh Light for just over three weeks now and absolutely love it! Something about this fragrance is so homely. Only one drop in the morning and it lasts strongly for most of the day. I love that this is an eco conscious product, with no nasties.”

Lauren Mason
“This perfume is incredible !! I have crazy perfume allergies and have been longing to wear a nice perfume for ages – found Youdh and it’s been really great – doesn’t trigger my eczema at all and you only need a tiny drop to smell great for the whole day”

Holly
“It has such a clear and strong distinctive scent it’s honestly amazing that this is crafted by 1 person. A natural perfume that I haven’t received any head aches with considering I’m pretty sensitive to most fragrances and even ouds.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions people ask before buying oud perfume oil

message!

Still have questions?

What is in the YOUDH bottle?

A YOUDH oud perfume oil is a short formulation by design. Real oud oil, distilled from ethically sourced agarwood. A stable, non-drying carrier oil that lets the fragrance sit on skin rather than evaporate. Natural resins and single-origin plant materials where a blend calls for them. Nothing else. No alcohol, no synthetic musk, no phthalates, no dyes, no undisclosed fragrance ingredients hiding behind the word ‘parfum’ on the label. What you read here is what is in the bottle.

What does a bottle actually costs you, per wear?

A 3ml YOUDH bottle holds roughly 120 wears at one drop per application. At £45 a bottle, that works out to approximately £0.38 per wear, cheaper than a coffee, for a scent that lasts most of a working day. An alcohol spray at a similar price point is usually gone in under 100 sprays and needs reapplying partway through the day, which raises its effective cost per full day of scent above what the sticker price suggests.

Is oud oil the same as attar?

Not quite. Attar is a broader traditional category of oil-based perfume, historically made by distilling flowers, spices or woods into a carrier such as sandalwood. Oud oil refers specifically to the distillate of agarwood resin itself. YOUDH’s oils sit within that oil-based tradition, built specifically around real oud rather than a floral or spice base.

Does oud oil expire?

Not in the way food does. Stored in a cool, dark place away from direct light and heat, oud oil keeps for years, and many wearers find it deepens and rounds out with age rather than spoiling. For the truest character, use within three to five years of opening and always reseal the cap promptly after use.

How many drops of oud oil should I use?

Start with one drop on a single pulse point. Oud oil is highly concentrated, so a second drop on a different pulse point is usually enough even for a stronger presence. Using several drops in one spot wastes product without meaningfully extending wear time.

Can I layer oud oil with other fragrances?

Yes, oud oil layers well with other oud oils or natural oils applied to different pulse points. We would not recommend layering it under an alcohol-based spray, since the alcohol can disturb the oil’s slow release and shorten how long it lasts. Layering two YOUDH profiles, Night and Light, on different pulse points is a common way customers create a personal signature.

Is it safe to apply oud oil directly to skin?

Yes, when the oil is properly formulated. The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) publishes safety standards covering maximum use levels for fragrance ingredients applied to skin, and reputable oil-based perfumers formulate within those limits. YOUDH oud oil is designed for direct skin application from a single drop; even so, we recommend a patch test first if you have reactive or sensitive skin.

At YOUDH™ we pride ourselves with 100% Natural, Non-Allergen, Non-Hormone Disrupting Premium grade fragrance oils.
